This 272 page hardback has been printed by Ligare of Sydney, probably Sydney’s finest Printer. The paper used is fine quality semi-glossy silky art paper. The paper is acid free and will not turn brown with age. The book is stitch bound, not the standard gum and glue binding, so the pages will not come apart. The book opens flat for easy reading and the font is generously proportioned. This is a book which will last for generations.
Medical Missionaries
In the first decade of the nineteenth century a movement began in America which had the objective of evangelizing the non-Christian world. The second set of missionaries sent out went to Jaffna, Ceylon, in 1816. This book outlines the activities of these medical missionaries in Jaffna in the nineteenth century, particularly the outstanding contribution of Samuel Fisk Green.Links
